Austin Music Therapy

Overview

Music therapy is a professional health discipline that uses music to achieve non-musical goals. Austin Music Therapy aims to improve functioning in motor coordination, attention, memory and emotional well-being. Active music making recruits many areas of the brain at once making music therapy a great tool to address functioning in motor, cognitive and emotional areas. Whether one is singing, drumming or playing the piano, we use music making as a key part of therapy sessions to address the needs of the client.
